Not far from me in the kitchen
in the tiny bathroom downstairs
wallpapered in Shakespearean lines
that have only added to the good
bones of the house,
my four-year-old son
sits on the toilet, calling through
the flimsy accordion door,
“Mama, what is hath?”
“Mama, what is troth?”
